Arsenal and Manchester United will have to pay £40m to sign Jack Grealish this summer after Aston Villa named their price for the talented attacker, according to a report by TeamTalk.
Grealish has been with Villa his entire career having joined the clubs youth system as a child and has progressed through the ranks to become a key player at Villa Park in recent years.
The 22-year-old was instrumental in helping Steve Bruces’s side reach the Championship play-off final where they narrowly missed out on promotion to the Premier League after losing to Fulham at Wembley.
The England U21 international’s potential has alerted clubs in the upper echelons of the top flight with TeamTalk’s report claiming that Manchester United have identified Grealish as a potential long-term replacement for Juan Mata.
Jose Mourinho is looking to build a squad capable of competing with Man City next season and it seems United are eyeing Grealish as they look to add some ‘spark’ to a side that lacked creativity at times last season.
TeamTalk are citing Sky Sports as saying that Arsenal are also showing a keen interest in Grealish as new boss Unai Emery looks to revamp the squad he inherited from Arsene Wenger.
