Arsenal have been shambolic in their recent outings and there is now doubts over the future of some of their star players…
ALEXIS SANCHEZ has been given the green light to leave Arsenal in the summer, according to reports in Spain.
The 28-year-old’s future at Arsenal has been cast into doubt this season after stalling on signing a new contract at the club.
Alexis Sanchez wants a significant increase on his current £130,000-a-week contract – which expires in 2018 – but the Gunners are reluctant to meet his demands due to their wage policies.
And Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Arsenal have now given up all hope on trying to convince Sanchez to stay at the Emirates and are planning for life without him.
It is claimed Arsenal are keen to broker a swap deal with Real Madrid that will see Sanchez go to the Bernabeu in exchange for the services of long-term target Karim Benzema.
The Chile international appears to have made his intentions of leaving Arsenal clear in recent weeks.
He has cut a frustrated figure on the pitch and was dropped by Arsene Wenger for Arsenal’s 3-1 defeat to Liverpool after getting in a much-publicised training ground strop, which saw him get confronted by captain Laurent Koscielny.
He was also pictured laughing during the Gunners’ 5-1 Champions League second-leg defeat to Bayern Munich and has apparently become an outcast behind-the-scenes of his behaviour.
The report adds Atletico Madrid are also keen on Sanchez with Arsenal only willing to offload Sanchez to a team outside of the Premier League.
