Arsenal are set to battle with Liverpool and Tottenham for the signature of Steven Bergwijn from PSV this summer, according to the Daily Cannon.
The 20-year-old Dutch winger impressed last season with eight goals and eleven assists and showed remarkable progress in his development as the season progressed with six of the goals and a further six of his assists coming in the second half of the season.
His performances have not gone unnoticed by top clubs across Europe, with the likes of Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal all interested in signing him up.
Torino made a €12 million bid for him last summer, but the offer was rejected as PSV are holding out for around £20 million for the winger.
The Gunners are in need of a winger as they currently lack natural wide men, and at 20 he will likely be more inclined to choose a move to Arsenal given their history with young players and greater chances of first team football.
On Arsenal’s part, they have a very limited budget this summer and a lot of holes to fill in their defensive area, Bergwijn will represent a welcome cheap but quality addition to the attack.
