Arsenal and Emirates have announced a new five-year sponsorship deal which will see their current arrangement run up until 2024 (via Arsenal.com).
Arsenal have had the Fly Emirates logo embossed on their kits for so long that any other sponsor would look a little alien.
The agreement started back in 2006. The Gunners had just moved to their new stadium and the deal with Emirates resulted in both its naming rights and shirt sponsorship.
That deal was extended in 2012 and now, the club has announced that it has been extended once again.
Emirates will be the official shirt sponsors of Arsenal up until the end of 2023-24 season to mark almost two decades of partnership.
“Our shirt partnership is the longest running in the Premier League and one of the longest relationships in world sport,” Ivan Gazidis said of the announcement.
“Emirates is a great partner for Arsenal – a world-class brand with a truly global reach.
“The new deal, extending our shirt partnership until 2024, underlines how much both organisations value and benefit from the relationship.”
It has been a huge few months for the club behind the scenes. With new backroom appointments and a potentially massive new kit manufacturer’s deal on the cards in the coming weeks, this marks a period of significant change at Arsenal.
