Aaron Ramsey has signed a pre-contract agreement with Juventus, bringing an end to his 10-year stay at Arsenal.
It was reported that the midfielder held his medical with the Turin outfit in Londonon Sunday, following his side’s Premier League clash with West Ham the previous day.
Ramsey is expected to sign a five-year contract worth £140,000 a week plus bonuses if he plays 50 per cent of all the games in a season.
It is still a possibility that the 28-year-old could move to Turin this month, should Arsenal decide that they wish to recoup a fee for him.
Speaking last Friday however, boss Unai Emery suggested the plan is for Ramsey to see out the season in London until his contract expires.
‘My idea and focus, I say to him every day, is with us,’ Emery told reporters.
‘We need his performances for us and the last matches I am very happy with him.’
The Welshman came on as a second-half substitute against West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday but could not prevent defeat as the Gunners handed a boost to their top-four rivals.
