Aubameyang is a highly rated forward who would be able to provide the Gunners as much goals as they want considering how starched up our midfield is and with our summer signing of Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach.
Gabonese international and Borussia Dortmund’s forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has admitted that he could leave the Bundesliga side at the end of the season.
Arsenal reportedly launched a £42million bid for the Gabonese forward in the summer. He is one of the most highly-sought after players after he scoring 39 goals in 49 games for the German side last season.
And the Gunners manager Arsene Wenger tried to steal a march on Europe’s top clubs by luring the 27-year-old to the Emirates according to German reports Bild.
The Borussia star has revealed that he may be open to leave the Westfalenstadion at the end of the season after admitting he doesn’t know if he will stay.
He said: “I don’t know if I will stay. I just think about playing good football right now.”
Arsenal manager will undoubtedly return with an improved offer next summer but the Gabonese forward seems destined for Real Madrid.
The former Saint-Etienne striker, whose contract expires in 2020, revealed in March: “Real Madrid? There is no agreement but I promised my grandfather I would play there one day.
“Why wouldn’t I want to discover new things? As I’ve said several times, I’d like to play in Spain and have good weather for once in my life!”
The 27-year-old speed merchant has bagged a stunning 20 goals in 20 matches this season including 15 in 12 league starts.
It is believed that Dortmund will not accept any offers below £60m.
