No doubt, Arsenal have been heavily involved in this transfer market but more for the sale of players than player’s acquisition.
Latest reports this morning claims Hull City are keeping tabs on Arsenal goalkeeper Damian Emiliano Martinez and they are keen on a completing a deal for the Argentina born shot-stopper before the close of the window.
The 23-year-old goalkeeper joined Arsenal from his native club Independiente in 2010 but went on loan to various clubs.
Martinez spent the first half of last season on loan at Wolverhampton. He featured for Wolves in their 1-1 draw with Hull City in the second league game of the season. That game will be remembered for an error from McGregor that gifted Wolves their equalizer through James Henry. A Nikica Jelavic penalty had given the Tigers an early lead.
Hull City are looking for cover for their injured goalkeeper Allan McGregor, who sustained a back injury and is still recovering. McGregor is expected to be out of action Christmas at the least.
Martinez would be the second goalkeeper City have taken on loan from Arsenal in the last few years. Vito Mannone (below) spent two loan spells with City.
It would be a good deal for the goalkeeper as he will get more playing time and that will aid his development.
