Arsenal’s hope of securing the services of Premier League player of the season Riyad Mahrez has been boosted following the Foxes bid for Polish winger Bartosz Kaputska – if the deal pulls through for Leicester City, it is believed that the player will be a replacement for Mahrez, this is according to reports.
Following his impressive show-off for Northern Island in the just concluded Euro 2016, the 19-year-old winger has drawn attention from various European clubs but it seems the EPL Holders are in pole position to sign the winger.
According to Sky Sports, a bid has already been submitted for the player. This has further raised questions and doubts over the future of Mahrez who is a transfer prime target for the Gunners – this means Arsenal can up their bid for the player.
Claudio Raniery lost Ngolo Kante to Chelsea but he signed on a replacement in Nampalys Mendy before allowing the maverick midfielder to jump ship. Certainly,he wouldn’t let Mahrez leave without a replacement.
For the Gunners fans that have lost hope on the signing of Mahrez, it is still very much a possibility as Wenger is still very much active in the transfer market.
