BORUSSIA DORTMUND are trying to drive Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s price up.
That’s the view of Spanish football expert and Sky Sports pundit Guillem Balague.
The Gunners have upped their bid for the Gabon international, with Arsenal tabling a £50.9m offer.
Aubameyang, 28, wants to leave the Bundesliga club and is keen to work under Arsene Wenger.
And Balague says Dortmund are trying to get as much cash as they can from Arsenal before letting their star man leave.
“There’s a difference in valuation [between the clubs],” Balague told Sky Sports.
“I’ve heard it’s about €10m.
“But Arsenal seem quite confident, or quite calm in the situation.
“Why? Because Aubameyang has told Dortmund he doesn’t want to play for them anymore.
“He’s happy with the kind of figures that are being mentioned as in personal terms.
“Arsenal feel they have the player.
“Borussia Dortmund know that and they’re trying to push the price as high as possible because Arsenal need the player.
“Those are the negotiations so far. Arsenal need to up their last offer and see what Dortmund say.
“Arsenal want to save money and Dortmund are trying to get as much as they can.”
