BBC journalist David Ornstein‏ has confirmed on Twitter that former Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg will be joining the club once again ahead of the new coaching set-up next season.

The return of Ljungberg to the club means he will be coaching the youth team alongside Per Mertesacker, and a tweet from Ornstein explained:

Ljungberg served the club for nine years as a player and lifted the Premier League title twice, a Community Shield and three FA Cups with The Gunners, scoring over 220 goals (most of which were against Manchester United).

Arsenal are still hoping to land a new Manager soon and are set to overhaul the coaching system at the club after Sir Wenger leave the club.

Freddie bring bags of experience with him back to the club, and he also has an existing affinity with the club, something very important with all of our new acquisitions behind the scenes.
