There is no loophole in the squad of Arsenal at the moment but Wenger may need to continue identifying players that will guarantee the future of the club.
According to the Mail.
“Arsenal are checking on Belgian goalkeeper Guillaume Hubert and have sent scouts to watch the 22-year-old in action.
Representatives from the north London club were in Belgium at the weekend as he played for Standard Liege in their 2-2 draw with Gent.
It was the sixth time this season Arsenal had a representative at one of Standard’s games with Hubert tipped to make a step up in level.
Hubert is 6ft 6in, has been capped at Under-21 level and is pushing for a call-up to Roberto Martinez’s national side.
He had trials with Stoke as a junior while Liverpool, Swansea and Leicester City have all monitored his performances over the past 18 months.
Arsenal are the latest to consider whether he is worth a transfer gamble with Arsene Wenger planning ahead with Petr Cech now 34 and David Ospina considering a move away.
The Gunners do also have to consider the future of Wojciech Szczesny, who is still on their books despite having spent the last two seasons on loan at Roma. “
