According to Dutch media outlet De Telegraaf, Arsenal are one of three Premier League clubs interested in signing PSV Eindhoven attacker Steven Bergwijn, who would cost between €15-20m (£13.1-£17.5m).
Well, De Telegraaf says that the Gunners, along with top flight rivals Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur, are all keen to bring the Netherlands U21 international to England following an impressive campaign with the Eredivisie outfit.
De Telegraaf reports that PSV rejected a bid last year from Serie A club Torino last year, but they are likely to cash in should a bigger club come calling for the exciting 20-year-old this summer.
Meanwhile, Unai Emery and Sven Mislintat will be keen to strengthen the north London outfit’s squad this summer, and the Dutchman would add some much-needed pace and quality in wide areas that they are perhaps lacking right now.
How did Bergwijn do during the 2017/18 season?
He was hugely impressive, and played a key role in PSV winning what has become a rare Eredivisie title in recent years.
The 20-year-old wideman scored eight goals and provided a further 11 assists in 36 appearances in all competitions for the Dutch outfit, and he showed his dribbling ability by successfully completing 73 of the 113 dribbles he attempted, according to WhoScored.com.
He certainly would be.
