According to bookies, English clubs Arsenal and Liverpool are the two Premier League clubs listed as favourites to sign Newcastle United midfielder Moussa Sissoko.
The France international midfielder is expected to leave Newcastle after their relegation last season and his brilliant performance for host France at Euro 2016, including an outstanding display in the final against eventual champions Portugal.
Top bookmaker SkyBet has listed Arsenal as 2/1 favourites to sign Sissoko, while Liverpool lag behind at 8/1 along with Serie A giant Juventus. French Ligue 1 champions PSG are listed at 10/1, while Premier League clubs Manchester United and Everton are both 12/1, and London clubs Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur as 14/1.
According to Shields Gazette, Newcastle United has placed a price tag of £35 million on the midfielder for any club who want to sign him.
It is understood that Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will be unlikely to make a move for a player at such a price, in a position where he has so many talented options already, including recent addition of Switzerland international midfielder Granit Xhaka this summer.
