Before the opening of the January transfer window, Arsene Wenger was quizzed on his plans for market but he admitted that he is not looking to sign player but he did not rule out the possibility of player sale.
According to report, Carl Jenkinson is on the verge of complete a shock move o Crystal Palace on a permanent basis.
As reported by the Daily Express, Allardyce is on course for a reunion with Jenkinson after managing him at West Ham United, with Palace moving ahead of their rivals in the chase for his signature in this month’s transfer window.
During his second loan spell at Upton Park last season, the right-back suffered a knee injury that ended his campaign, seeing him return to parent club Arsenal for further treatment. Following months of hard work, he finally made his return in October, giving Arsene Wenger another option at the back.
But the 24-year returned from a long term injury but has been a shadow of himself. He has found himself behind Gabriel Paulista and Maitland-Niles in the selection other even though the players are not natural right back.
However Jenkinson has failed to push on since coming back into the fold, with Hector Bellerin clearly ahead of him in the pecking order, resulting in the Gunners’ decision to cash-in on the defender now, according to the paper.
