Marouane Fellaini’s contract at Manchester United is set to expire on June 30th and it’s thought that AC Milan are keen to land the strapping Belgian once he becomes a free agent, although according to a report published by The Telegraph – via Football Italia – Arsenal will supposedly challenge the Serie A outfit’s pursuit of the soon to be surplus midfield enforcer.

As Fellaini has graced the English game for almost a decade having plied his trade for Everton and indeed the Red Devils, it’s believed that the Gunners have entered negotiations with the rugged 30-year-old and his representatives, as though he’s seemingly out of favour at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho, he still evidently has the capacity to contest at the highest level possible.

But, since Fellaini is a renowned protagonist of his respective department, the Rossoneri have also been touted in the running for his robust services, and a potential switch to the San Siro, a tantalising hook indeed, could be more than enough to persuade the Belgium international to pack his bags for the Italian top-flight.

Unai Emery will presumably be eager to craft a fresh, vibrant chapter of his own at the Emirates after taking the reins from Arsene Wenger, and during the Spanish commander’s spell in Paris Saint-Germain’s dugout in particular, it’s said that Fellaini was one player which he had always kept a watchful eye on.

Fellaini may be a sparingly deployed component of the ‘Special One’s’ contingent, but since jumping ship from the Toffees, the fiery, elbow-wielding midfielder has helped shepherd the club towards 4 major trophies, including the Europa League title in 2017.

After being included in Belgium’s definitive 23-man 2018 World Cup squad, Fellaini will have a more than sufficient enough platform to flex his demonstrative muscles upon, with Gennaro Gattuso, and indeed Emery, watching on admiringly to gauge how he fares amongst the planet’s greatest professionals.
