David Ospina is a step closer to leaving Arsenal, albeit on a temporary loan.
He made just five Premier League appearances last season and the Colombian has fallen down the pecking order at the Emirates following the arrival of Germany stopper Bernd Leno.
Now according to SportWitness, Besiktas submitted a bid of around £2m to sign Ospina on a season’s-long-loan deal.
However, outlets also suggest that Besiktas and the goalkeeper are still yet to reach a final decision. The Super Lig club might even consider a move for Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet instead.
What seems clear is that the 29 year-old is keen for a quick exit and Arsenal aren’t trying to stop him. Following the arrival of Bernd Leno and the assurance of Petr Cech, the Gunners are content with their current crop of goalkeepers.
