According to a recent report, PSG midifelder Adrien Rabiot is not interested in renewing his current deal at the club and is again being linked with Arsenal.
The 22-year-old is a regular under Umai Emery but missed seven league matches with a hamstring injury towards the end of 2016. It is believed that he is seen as Thiago Motta’s natural successor in a defensive midfield role but Rabiot wants the ability to express himself in a more attack-minded position further forward, as a number ten for instance.
Plenty of sides are interested in his situation, not least Arsenal.
hey had been heavily linked with an approach for him in previous seasons but PSG had been eager to keep hold of the Frenchman.
With two years left to run on his current deal, it’s likely that they will seek long-term alternatives to him if he does reject their offer, but given just how highly-rated he is, he won’t come cheap.
Bayern Munich, Juventus, Roma and north London rivals Tottenham are all rumoured to be interested in one of the world’s best midfielders in his age-bracket – so PSG would be hoping to earn upwards of £35m for his services if speculation is true and he’s unhappy about things in Paris.
