Manchester United are prepared to take West Bromwich Albion defender Jonny Evans back to Old Trafford this summer, according to reports.
United are long-time admirers of Evans and having been linked in previous transfer windows, are ready to re-sign their former academy graduate in a cut-price deal, the Sun reports.
Evans is available for just £3million at the end of the season due to the relegation release clause in his contract.
Manchester City and Arsenal are also monitoring his situation while Tottenham have been linked but the Northern Ireland international may be tempted by a potential return to United having played almost 200 games for the club between 2006 and 2015.
Evans won three Premier League winners medals during his first spell there before he was sold to the Baggies in 2015.
Now, Jose Mourinho is said to be considering prising him back to add depth to the back line – with the Portuguese boss running out of patience with Chris Smalling and Phil Jones.
The Baggies considered selling Evans, 30, in January to raise funds but turned down bids from Premier League champions City and the Gunners.
