With the deal to sign Granit Xhaka done and officially confirmed by Arsenal and from all indication, Rob Holding deal also done, Arsenal are now working on players Wenger won’t be needing for next season while at the same time working to bring in at least two more players, something which has been confirmed by Wenger himself.
Arsenal goalkeeper David Ospina has been deemed wanted by Besiktas – however Turkish champions won’t pay the fee slamed on the Colombian goalkeeper.
The Colombian goalkeeper is second fiddle to Petr Cech in the goalkeeping order of the gunners. He featured only four times for the Gunners in the Premier League last season.
Ospina could be on the road out of the Emirates if Besiktas stump up the price tag on the Goalie. Besiktas has revealed they need Arsenal’s David Ospina – yet are baffled at the £3million fee.
Besiktas, the Turkish title holders, would have the capacity to offer him consistent first team activity and Champions League football.
President Fikret Orman said:
“Arsenal wants a lot for him so we may have to look for alternatives.
“I do want Ospina and we are going to get a foreign keeper.”
Arsenal should recondier their decision of selling the Columbian goalie, he brings healthy competition in the Goalkeeping segment of the Arsenal team. Petr Cech knows that he has to be in his best in other to remain the No. 1 and that is because he has a world class goalkeeper just behind him.
Szczesny should remain with Roma for at least one more season before any decision can be made on selling David.
The 27 year-old has helped his nation into the Copa America semi-finals where they play Chile in their next game.
