Ciprian Marica has signed a deal that will see him turn out for a top side according to Dinamo Bucharest club president Ionut Negoita. The striker has been a surprise target for Arsenal in the last couple of days but nothing as come out of the rumours so far. Just few days ago the player’s agent confirmed he is close to signing for Arsenal on a free transfer.
Dinamo Bucharest club president Ionut Negoita told He told Sports.ro: ‘’It would have been an honour for us, even for a short period if Marica could help our project. But Marica has found a team.
“He’ll sign with a top team, from what I hear, he will have a very good agreement.”
Although Ionut Negoita hasn’t mentioned any name, it is safe to assume it is Arsenal considering the only clubs left in the running for the player is West ham, Arsenal and Getafe and from the 3, only Arsenal are a top club.
With Arsenal ending up signing no striker in the last transfer window, It is believed the gunners are trying to sign the Romanian on a free transfer to cover up for their attacking defiency but they have competition from West ham, Inter Milan and a host of other clubs.
