We take a look at the latest injury situation at Arsenal ahead of Sunday’s game at Burnley

Arsenal have a history of having lengthy injury lists at this time of year – but things are different this season.

Arsene Wenger’s squad has almost a clean bill of health as we head towards the busy festive period.

The Gunners head to Burnley this weekend with long-term absentee Santi Cazorla the only player definitely ruled through through injury.

There is a slight doubt as to whether Danny Welbeck will make the trip to Turf Moor as Arsene Wenger continues to ease the forward back towards full fitness following his hamstring strain.

Welbeck made his return on Thursday night, but was withdrawn after just 45 minutes against FC Koln in the Europa League.

Theo Walcott missed that trip to Germany, as well as last weekend’s north London derby, due to illness and he will not have recovered in time to face the Clarets this weekend at Turf Moor.

Here is a run down of the current injury issues at Arsenal and when any absent players are due back in action.

Danny Welbeck
