Arsenal face newly promoted side Middlesbrough in the Champions League on Saturday. With the confidence in the team, Arsene Wenger is expected to rotate the team a bit.
Cazorla was withdrawn by Arsene Wenger after 57 minutes of our 6-0 thrashing of Ludogrets in the Champions last night. However, the midfield maestro has allayed fears that the injury is not as serious as feared and he could be fit for the Premier League game against Boro.
The 31-year-old then watched the rest of the match at the Emirates with an ice pack on his Achilles.
Wenger suggested the Spaniard could be an injury concern for Arsenal after the match.
But Cazorla hopes to have recovered in time to face Boro on Saturday.
“I have a pain in the tendon,” Cazorla told Times
“I got a kick in the first half [against Ludogorets] and during the second I still had some pain so, with the result in our favour, the boss decided to give me a rest.
“It was good to recover for Saturday.”
