Former Arsenal striker Carlos Vela has admitted he could still return back to Arsenal but it all depends on if Arsenal want him back to the Emirates. Vela was sold to Real Sociedad in the summer of 2012 after having a brief loan spell at the club. Vela play from the right side of midfield ( right wing ) for Real Sociedad last season but still managed to score a total of 16 goals in 39 games in all competition.
There have been rumours lately that Arsenal may re-sign Vela as a result of a clause in his contract when he was been sold to Real Sociedad. These rumours have now been confirmed to be true by Carlos Vela himself. Talking to Sky sports yesterday before Real Sociedad played Manchester United, Vela confirmed the clause actually exists.
He told Sky Sports: “Yes they [Arsenal] have the option.
“Every summer they can take the buy option. But for the moment it is difficult.
“They are good now, I am good now. I don’t think it is the best moment to go back to Arsenal.”
When asked about joining them in the future, he replied, “Maybe.”
With Arsenal still in need of a striker and Vela been a quality striker, it will not be too surprising if he is re-signed by Arsene Wenger especially as he is a quality player and he will come cheap ( 4 million pounds ).
