Arsenal were knocked out of the EFL Cup yesterday after a poor display from the players and a tactical misnomer from Arsene Wenger.
However, the most worrying report is not even our exit from the EFL Cup from but Santi Cazorla’s injury – Arsene Wenger has revealed that he does not know how soon the midfielder will return.
The Spaniard’s been out of action for six weeks after picking up a knock during the side’s 6-0 win against Ludogorets in October.
There were hopes that the 31-year-old midfield maestro would return on time for the hectic December fixture but he has showed no progress sign.
Speaking ahead of the game against West Ham this Saturday, Wenger’s revealed Cazorla’s no closer to making a return following the side’s 2-0 loss to Southampton in the EFL Cup.
‘Cazorla I don’t know, honestly,’ Wenger admitted.
‘I cannot give you any delay. It’s just inflammation, that can go in two days or two weeks. I don’t know.
‘He has no setback but the inflammation is still there.’
