Arsenal fans here at the Transfer Tavern haven’t been filled with much optimism this season as the Gunners have been so inconsistent. Form is starting to return to the Emirates but summer signings are much needed here if Arsenal want to progress as a club.
Arsenal seem to be more reliant on out-scoring the opposition due to their defensive vulnerabilities. This cannot be sustained but an attacker that the Gunners could turn into a real star is Eden Hazard’s brother Thorgan, who plays for Borussia Monchengladbach. It may not be the Hazard that Arsenal fans truly desire but it’s safe to say Thorgan Hazard is a top player as well. Valued at £18.00 million on Transfermarkt, Hazard at times this season has proven to be worth way more for the Bundesliga outfit.
Hazard can play on either wing or as an attacking midfielder but it’s safe to say he can do a job wherever he plays. In 30 outings this season, the Belgian has scored eight goals as well as getting eight assists, showing Chelsea that they made yet another transfer mistake by letting him go so quickly. Figures like that prove the winger has the raw talent which could be desirable for a big club like Arsenal.
The Gunners haven’t been too successful out on the flanks either, youth prodigy Alex Iwobi hasn’t lived up to the potential he once showed so Thorgan Hazard could be a perfect replacement and improvement to the side.
