Steven N’Zonzi refused to rule out a return to the Premier League, with Arsenal reportedly interested in his signature.
Arsenal were linked with N’Zonzi over the summer, as the Gunners continue to go without an imposing physical presence in the centre of the pitch like the former Stoke man.
When asked about the possibility of moving back to the Premier League, the 28-year-old responded: “Who knows what is going to happen. I am not going to talk about contracts,” reports The Sun.
“I love the Premier League. I really like the Premier League, this is where I started at a good level. I had a great time there but I don’t know what is going to happen in the future.”
N’Zonzi spent six years in the Premier League between 2009 and 2015, with that time split equally between Blackburn Rovers and Stoke City.
He returned to England this summer for the Emirates Cup, scoring against the Gunners to help Sevilla to a win, although Arsenal won the Cup anyway.
In more serious competition, the Frenchman won the Europa League with Sevilla in 2015/16, and made the squad of the season for that campaign.
He’s also just been called up for his debut for the French national side, playing against Wales on November 10. So clearly his recent good form has been noted.
