Arsene Wenger’s potential replacement has turned down a move to France and is currently living in London.
The Arsene Wenger saga has been going on for many seasons now, with most Arsenal fans feeling like it’s time for him to go. Unai Emery, Carlo Ancelotti, and Jochim Low are the names being thrown around, but there’s huge news on one of them.
The Arsenal board have shown their determination to plan the correct exit strategy for Arsene Wenger, as the club don’t want to repeat what happened last season. This, and the fact that Carlo Ancelotti has shown desire to manage in England once more, surely ties hand in hand.
According to Mirror, the Italian has turned down contract talks with Paris Saint-Germain, because he’s leaning more towards managing in the Premier League. Having been the former manager of Chelsea, he has experience of the London lifestyle, which is where he’s reportedly living at the moment.
It’s also been reported that the Arsenal board would prefer to bring in a manager who is slightly younger than Carlo Ancelotti, but the Italian boss is still willing to negotiate with the Gunners.
He chose perhaps the worst time to watch his potential club, as he sent out a tweet after the North London derby. Having Ancelotti in the crowded stands wasn’t enough for the Arsenal players to put in a performance, as they lost to their biggest rivals.
