‘Arsene Wenger, you’re killing our club,’ was a reoccurring chant sung by disgruntled fans to the manager who has won three Premier League titles and six FA Cups at the club.

When asked about supporters turning against Wenger, Manchester United legend Ferdinand told BT Sport: ‘I think they need to be careful with what they wish for.

‘They’re used to winning leagues, it’s gone badly recently but they’re in the Champions League every year.

‘It comes back to that question: what do the owners want? Do they want to finish fourth every year? It seems like that at the moment.’
