The January transfer market will be halted tomorrow and not much can be done before the closure but surprises are yet possible.
According to report,
Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim that Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to offload the France international.
He has reportedly grown frustrated with the 29-year-old, who has not been as prolific this season as in previous campaigns. However he does still have 12 goals to his name.
Real Madrid’s recent surprise exit from the Copa del Rey was apparently the last straw for Perez, while fans booed the striker at the Bernabeu on Sunday during their win over Real Sociedad.
Perez has reportedly told Arsenal and Chelsea of his intentions to sell Benzema, although Paris St Germain will also pursue the striker.
Benezema has long been linked with a move to the Emirates with his style and nationality making him an obvious fit. Meanwhile Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is thought to be in the market for an additional striker to complement and back up Diego Costa.
