Arsenal are thumped Swansea at the Liberty Stadium in a Premier League game and it was the substitution of Chilean international Alexis Sanchez that was the high point of the game.
And according to Ian Wright, Sanchez’s recent antics are a form of transfer request to leave the Emirartes, per reports.
The Chilean, who is in talks over a new contract, yet again made his frustration clear, this time for being substituted during Arsenal’s 4-0 win over Swansea.
He was taken off in the 79th mins for Danny Welbeck and he proceeded to the sideline and was visibly angry.
It was just the most recent example of Sanchez’s anger coming to the fore, with the former Barcelona player recently berating his team-mates and throwing his gloves to the turf during Arsenal’s 3-3 draw with Bournemouth.
Discussing the latest incident on Match of the Day, Wright suggested it might be a ploy to force a move away.
‘You can see his face, he is disappointed, he doesn’t want to be taken off,’ the Arsenal hero said.
‘When you’ve got all the contract talk and everything that’s going on, he is so integral to Arsenal. If he’s gone, as much as people say Ozil, if he’s not there, there’s a massive problem.
‘He just doesn’t want to be taken off, he wants to continuously play. I just hope it’s not something they are using as excuses, his representatives, as a way to get him out of the club.’
Sanchez has been linked with a move to China as well as various other clubs with his current deal due to expire in the summer of 201
