Arsenal have been handed a tall order in their quest to get Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil sign contract extensions.
According to reports, the aforementioned duo have rejected Arsenal initial offers for them, with reports claiming they want above £200k-a-week.
The pair both have 18 months to run on their deals at the Emirates and there’s concern at Arsenal – particularly with Sanchez – that they could look elsewhere in the summer.
Ozil currently earns £140,000-a-week in north London – £10,000 more a week than Sanchez.
Pogba, 23, is the highest paid player in the Premier League and earns around £290,000-a-week at Old Trafford following his world record £89million move from Juventus.
The Gunners have so far shown an unwillingness to smash their wage structure to keep the duo but they’ve indicated they’d stretch to around £200,000-a-week for the pair, according to the Evening Standard.
However, that would still be someway behind the Premier League’s top earners and neither player is expected to settle for that wage.
