Real Madrid and Germany midfielder Mesut Ozil is odds on to join Arsenal according to bookmakers. There have been reports in the last few days that Arsenal are interested in signing the high rated German with some reports claiming it is left to the German to decide if he wants to join Arsenal or not after both Arsenal and Real Madrid agree fees.
In a dramatic twist of events, bookmakers in Spain have now suspended betting on him leaving Real Madrid. Although it was not stated if he is on his way to Arsenal, Arsenal are however the only club interested in the service of the player. With the bookmakers no longer taking betting on him leaving Real Madrid, it is very possible the bookmakers ( who are always reliable when it comes to stuffs like this ) have been hinted of the impending transfer and in other not to lose money, they have now decided to stop taking bets on him leaving. Or why else will betting be suspended on the player leaving when he already stated he wanted to stay if the bookmakers do not know something.
Ozil had 3 days ago told the media he will not be leaving Real Madrid as he would like to stay and fight for his chances but as readers of this blog will know, we already reported he is likely to leave as Real Madrid are keen on recouping some of the money they have spent on acquiring Gareth Bale from Tottenham.
Aside Ozil, Arsenal are trying to acquire the service of Di Maria from Real Madrid and there are murmurs of a possible season long loan deal for Kaka.
