Arsenal and Manchester United have made a gentle agreement before the last transfer window close that will see Manchester United sell Wayne Rooney to Arsenal should they agree to sell the English striker according to Sports Direct News. Wayne Rooney was closed to joining Chelsea in the last transfer but the move was blocked by David Moyes as he does not want to strengthen his direct opponent.
However, according to Sports Direct News, Wenger has smartly got Manchester United to “gentlemanly” agree they are to sell the player to Arsenal should they still want to sell once the January transfer window opens. According to reports during the summer transfer window, Arsenal had made a bid of 20 million pounds for the English man which was rejected as United didn’t want to sell.
Although Rooney has been forced to remain at United, it is believed that the player will be trying once again to force a move away once the January window opens. United may be more willing to sell once the January window opens according to Sports Direct News since he will be in the last 2 years of his contract then and if he does not sign a new deal, United may be forced to cash in to avoid lose him on the free.
However, it remains to be seen if Rooney will be keen to force through a move to Chelsea or take the opportunity of joining Arsenal should he insist on leaving Manchester United.
