Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is readying a surprise move for Manchester United’s Mexican striker Javier Hernandez as the Frenchman gets desperate to bolster his front line. According to the reports, the high rated Mexican has been encouraged by the striker’s representatives and as such Wenger is prepared to make a move in the January transfer window.
Wenger has been strongly with Hernandez’s team mate Wayne Roone in the last few months but feelers are that Wenger has finally given up signing the English man and instead wants Rooney’s team mate who continues to get limited playing time with the English champions.
Hernandez has scored 50 goals in just 71 starts for Manchester United but has seen his first team chances limited under United’s new boss David Moyes and now wants out of the old trafford club in search of regular first team. According to the reports, Wenger is willing to pay as much as 17 million pounds for the striker.
