Arsenal have commenced negotiation with Chelsea in an attempt to sign Demba Ba on a season long loan deal according to various reports. Arsenal are in the market for a new striker and after seeing efforts to sign a marquee striker fail, Arsenal have now given up on signing a world class striker and have instead earmarked Demba Ba as the ideal back up to Olivier Giroud.
Ba was close to joining Arsenal from Chelsea last January before Chelsea hijacked the move. But having fallen off the pecking order at Chelsea, Ba is now available for an outright purchase or a loan deal according to reports. West Brom are also thought to be interested and if reports are to be believed, they stand a better chance of signing the player as they are trying to sign him on a permanent deal.
Arsenal are also in for Palermo and Uruguay striker Abel Hernandez who is available for as little as 6 million pounds.
