If reports from the Spanish media are anything to go by, Arsenal fans can expect Malaga’s Jesus Gamez to play for their team as early as January. Fichajes.net a Spanish website confirmed Arsenal have made a bid for the high rated defender.
It is believed that the player is considering Arsenal’s offer but Malaga would like to quickly tie down the player to the club by offering him a new contract which they hope will be good enough to convince him to stay even though the player has stated he wants out.
The great thing for Arsenal is the fact that Malaga is cash trapped and may not be able to match Arsenal in terms of wage offers to the player. He is reportedly on wages as low as 30, 000 Euros per week after tax with the Arsenal’s offer said to be more than double of what he currently earns at Malaga.
If signed, he will be long term replacement for Sagna on the right side of Arsenal’s defence. He can also play as a centre back when needed.
