Jeff Reine-Adelaide seems to still be on course to make his return against West Ham in the Carabao Cup on 19 December.
Jeff took part in a full training session ahead of Arsenal’s trip to Burnley at the weekend.
The midfielder was sidelined towards the end of last season with an ankle injury and made his return for the reserves against Derby’s u23s in August.
The 19-year-old went on to make five appearances in Premier League 2 before he was subbed off after just 20 minutes during the Young Guns’ 2-0 win over Sunderland. However, it appears the France u19 international is on the mend and back in training.
Arsenal’s League Cup clash against West Ham on December 19 has been penciled in as Jeff’s return dateand if he’s already back in training, it seems as if he’s on course to be ready in time.
Last season, the midfielder made six appearances for Arsene Wenger’s first team – three in the League Cup and three in the FA Cup. However, he’s yet to make his Premier League debut.
When Arsenal signed Jeff from Lens in 2015, everyone was excited to see what the lanky Frenchman could do. It’s easy to forget that he’s just 19 and has years ahead of him to develop. I’m sure he’ll get his Premier League debut soon but for the time being let’s just concentrate on keeping him fit, shall we?
