Breaking! Mesut Ozil reveals why he wont sign new Arsenal deal

The form of Arsenal has left not just the fans agitating for Wenger’s head, many fans have asked for the team to be reshuffled due to their lack of c commitment.

Mesut Ozil admits there have been ‘hard days’ at Arsenal following their heavy defeat to Bayern Munich in the Champions League.

Barring a miracle turnaround, the Gunners are out of Europe after being beaten 5-1 by the German champions at the Allianz Arena.

After the Bayern defeat, it was reported that Alexis Sanchez made obvious his displeasure as he reacted in the dressing room.

Arsenal face Sutton United in the FA Cup on Monday evening, but Ozil confirmed his absence through social media

Ozil followed that up with a message of support to his Arsenal team-mates on Instagram.

He wrote: ‘We’ve had hard days here at Arsenal after our last match! But we have to find focus again, Gooners! Wish you a successful week. #COYG.’

Ozil has faced heavily criticism over his performance against Bayern last week, but the midfielder’s agent believes the backlash from fans has been excessive.

‘Criticism is normal if a player plays badly,’ Dr Erkut Sogut told BBC Sport.

‘But Mesut feels people are not focusing on his performance; they are using him as a scapegoat for the team after bad results.”

‘Bayern had 74% possession

‘How can someone in the No.10 position create chances if you don’t have the ball?

‘In these games people usually target a player who cost a lot of money and earns a lot of money – that is Mesut. But he can’t be always be the scapegoat. That’s not fair.

‘Football is a team sport and Arsenal are not performing well as a team. Eleven players were on the pitch but Mesut was singled out for criticism. Was he the reason that Arsenal conceded five goals?’
