Mesut Ozil is moving to Manchester United next summer, it has been claimed by reports coming out of Turkey this morning.

Turkish website Sabah claims that he said he wants to remain in the Premier League and said:

“Manchester United is a very serious proposal, I’ll probably be transferred there…”

They also claim that the player has also had talks with Fenerbache but it looks like United and a reunion with his old boss Jose Mourinho is looking on the cards now.

Every day which passes, it looks more and more likely that Ozil will be leaving and rumours keep circulating that despite claiming he is happy in London yet he refuses to sign a new deal to stay at The Emirates. The same can be said for Alexis Sanchez, also out of contract in the summer, with PSG or Man City looking the most likely destination for the Chilean.

It’s also thought that Ozil is doing himself no favours, with AS via Sky Sports saying that his agent is demanding over £330,000 per week for his new deal, with a two and a half year deal being sought for his client. In another shock report, it’s claimed on Barcalens that he’s agreed personal terms with Barcelona for a January deal, who knows what to believe!?

It remains to be seen whether this is his agent bumping up his profiles, the paper trying to get him over to Turkey or just a load of rubbish to sell papers, but if this is allowed to happen, our two best players leaving for next to nothing while we have a huge hole in our squad with next to no money to replace them. Shoddy. A mess. Disappointing, and especially if they are sold to our rivals – they won’t be our rivals for long with the squad we have left.
