If the reports making the rounds are anything to go by, then Mesut Ozil has reportedly agreed to put pen to paper on a new and improved deal.
Ozil will be out of his current Arsenal contract in the summer of 2018 and talks for a new deal have been stalled over disagreement in his wage demand.
The latest reports are saying that the 28-year-old has signed a deal worth €12m a year, or €230,000 a week. He’s currently thought to be on £7.38m (around €10m) a year so that’s a £3m rise.
Given the quality and thickness he brings to the team of Arsenal, this news is cheering and no fan can go against this reports. His calmness, inch-perfect passes and skills makes him indispensable for us at the moment.
The market for players is inflated and so, Ozil deserves to earn as much as so of his counterparts in Manchester City, Chelsea and Manchester United.
The German has scored seven goals in all competitions this season after struggling to score last term. He’s now turning into the complete player.
If Ozil has finally signed this new contract, great news.
