Marouane Fellaini has agreed a new two-year deal at Manchester United.
The Belgian had expected to depart Old Trafford after struggling to come to an agreement with the Red Devils.
But he is now set to extend his stay at the Theatre of Dreams, according to Belgian outlet HLN.
The 30-year-old had attracted interest from Arsenal and AC Milan as he stalled over inking a new contract at United due to a supposed dispute over the length of the contract.
But middle ground has now seemingly been found with Fellaini’s fresh terms expected to be announced in the coming days.
His current deal at Old Trafford was due to run out on July 1 after five years with the Red Devils.
Fellaini has been utilised as both a starter in midfield and a forward option from the bench late in games by Jose Mourinho
“I know where I’m going to play next year and that does not affect my performance at World Cup,” he said on Tuesday.
The contract has been signed and I’m going to announce it within a few days.”
