Arsenal star Granit Xhaka has been making the headline and the latest is for another wrong reason.
Police have spoken with Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka following allegations of a bust-up at Heathrow Airport.
The alleged incident happened at Terminal 5 yesterday evening with claims the Switzerland international racially abused a member of British Airways check-in staff.
Xhaka was reportedly at the airport on Monday evening to see off a friend.
A police statement read: ‘Police were called at 19:29hrs on Monday, 23 January following an allegation that a member of staff had been racially abused at Heathrow Airport, Terminal Five.
‘The allegation was made by a third party.
‘Officers attended and spoke with a man in his 20s. He was not arrested. He voluntarily attended a west London police station where he was interviewed under caution. Enquires continue.’
The alleged incident occurred just 24 hours after Xhaka was sent off in the Premier League meeting between Arsenal and Burnley.
Arsenal have made no comment.
