Breaking! First team CB ruled out of action until March – not Mustafi

Arsenal ended top group A in the Champions League and they have been tied to play Bundesliga Liga Champions Bayern Munich in the round of 16.

However, According to reports, Arsenal have been handed a major boost in the game after reports indicated that Bayern Munich will be without their centre back Jerome Boateng as he sustained a tendon injury.

The Bayern Munich defender picked up the problem at the end of 2016 and has had an operation to try and solve the problem.

The Bundesliga club revealed that Boateng will be out for at least six weeks but latest revelation by kicker revealed that he will be out until March.

That would rule him out of the first leg at the Allianz Arena and it’s likely he would not be ready for the return leg at the Emirates on March 7.

Should it be the case, Boateng’s absence would be a major boost for Arsenal.
