Arsenal have been advised by Anders Limpar to sign RB Leipzig midfielder Emil Forsberg, according to the Daily Star.
The Gunners have been linked with Forsberg in recent times as they look to strengthen their squad after a sixth place finish in the league last term. And their former winger Limpar has now asked them to sign the Swedish international midfielder.
The 26-year-old who plays predominantly on the left flank for Leipzig can play on both flanks and scored five goals, assisting a further four last season. And Limpar believes he is the best Swedish player in Europe currently.
“If we get Emil Forsberg, we will be so lucky,” he told said.
“He’s the biggest prospect we have in Europe. He has been really good in the Bundesliga and has been outstanding for the national side.
“If we get him, we would get a hell of a player who could produce points with assists and goals.
“Please God, we should sign him straight away – if we can.”
“Emil would fit right in at Arsenal,” Limpar added. “He is so mobile, he can pass the ball and put assists up.
“He is one of the better players I have seen here in Sweden in many years, if you take Zlatan away. He is a really good prospect.”
