Arsenal want to complete the loan signing of Denis Suarez this weekend, according to reports. The Gunners have been chasing Suarez for the last month, with Unai Emery desperate for reinforcements this month after an inconsistent first half of the season. Barcelona wanted Arsenal to sign Suarez on a permanent deal, but the London club are restricted only to completing loans this month due to a lack of transfer funds. But after Barcelona sealed a loan deal for Kevin-Prince Boateng, Arsenal are poised to bring Suarez to the Emirates for the rest of the season. Emery asked specifically for Suarez having worked with the Spaniard at Sevilla and the Mirror claim Arsenal are hopeful they can get the loan switch over the line by the weekend. Barcelona boss Ernesto Valverde confirmed the club were now prepared to let wantaway players leave after the arrival of Boateng.
He said: ‘We are happy with the squad but there are always possibilities for departures for those who maybe do not feature as often. ‘Those players could stay here and we would be happy or they could leave in search of more opportunities, we will evaluate all possibilities for them. ‘We work internally and there is a lot of planning involved of which I am a part, but we will see how the market progresses.’
