DAVID SEAMAN has pleaded with Alexis Sanchez to stay at Arsenal.
The Gunners legend, speaking exclusively to Express Sport, says “stuff is going on that we don’t know about” with regards to the Chilean superstar.
Seaman thinks a new contract would have been offered last year that Sanchez has snubbed and he’s begged him to pen a new deal.
He said: “I hope Alexis Sanchez will stay at Arsenal because I don’t want to see players of that quality leaving the club.
“They are the type of players you’re willing to play a load of money for to bring in.
“You don’t want to be letting them go but the situation with his contract, the club have a decision to make.
Sanchez is out of contract at the end of the season and has yet to sign a new deal.
The same goes for Mesut Ozil and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, who too can walk out the Emirates for free next summer.
Seaman said: “I’m hopeful on Mesut Ozil. He seems more likely to stay than Sanchez but ideally you want all three of them to stay.
“They’re in good positions at the moment because they’ve got one year left on their contract
“The same with the Ox, I can’t see why he’d want to go because of the way he’s developing at Arsenal.
“He’s on the teamsheet now, regular, so he’s playing. If he goes somewhere else he’s not guaranteed to be playing unless it’s a smaller club but he’s not going to want that.
“He definitely needs to be playing so ideally he stays at Arsenal.”
