Arsenal target Marco Asensio wants to leave Real Madrid, according to reports in Spain.
Asensio is keen on regular playing time and he has become frustrated with the cameo appearances he gets at the Bernabeu.
He’s started just 11 league games for Madrid this season but has scored six goals and provided four assists already, so it isn’t surprising to hear he wants to play more.
According to Diario Gol via the Daily Star, Asensio has informed Madrid president Fiorentino Perez that he is willing to leave the club if he doesn’t play regularly.
The report claims the winger’s preference is to remain at the Bernabeu but wouldn’t hesitate to leave if an opportunity arises.
The report also added that the winger already has numerous offers on the table ahead of the summer transfer window.
Arsenal were linked with Asensio last summer as well as January and could return for him at the end of the season, if there’s a slight chance of a move happening.
Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Liverpool and Juventus are also believed to be interested in the winger.
Asensio is one of Europe’s most talented winger and it is unlikely that Madrid would want to sell him. I think it is only normal that he is being linked with a move away because he isn’t playing as much as he’d want.
Young players are mainly concerned about playing regulaly and that’s why there is all this talk about Asensio’s future.
I actually don’t thing there is anything serious in this report.
