The man that revolutionized Arsenal football club, Arsene Wenger is in the final year of his current Arsenal contract and may not extend.
He has long been linked with managing England and reports according to Starsports are in the claim that Wenger is interested in taking charge of the Three Lions in their build-up to the 2018 world cup in Russia.
England sacked Sam Allardyce recently and appointed Gareth Southgate as the interim boss, while they wait for Wenger to take over permanently.
Starsport has already disclosed how 66-year-old Wenger – who celebrates 20 years as Gunners boss on Saturday – is preparing to make this his last season with the north London club.
Arsenal have enjoyed some stability but the heir to Wenger’s position is proving a difficult search. However, there are reports that Eddie Howe will be at the helms for Arsenal as soon as Wenger leaves.
The Emirates club are conscious Wenger could leave in the summer when his current contract expires, particularly if the England job is waiting for him.
There is no telling if Wenger will leave Arsenal at the end of this season but it would be tough for him. I don’t think he would pick up another contract immediately after leaving Arsenal.
Wenger has repeatedly reinstated his commitment to his contract with Arsenal and we are sure to see him at Arsenal until the end of this season.
