Midfielders Glen Kamara and Savvas Mourgos have both left Arsenal permanently, after their contracts were terminated by mutual consent.

Kamara, a youth international who has made appearances for Finland, joined the Gunners in 2012 and made his first-team debut during a forgettable League Cup defeat at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday in 2015.

The 21-year-old had produced some impressive displays in the heart of midfield at youth level, but wasn’t given enough opportunities to make a significant impact during loan spells with Southend United and Colchester United.

He is currently on trial with Scottish side Dundee United, hoping to earn a professional contract there.

Mourgos, on the other hand, joined Arsenal more recently in 2014 after a successful trial.

The Greek teenager leaves without having played for the first-team and his exit from the club has been on the cards for months now – just like that of other youngsters.

He made sporadic appearances for the u23s under Steve Gatting last season, with his most notable performance coming against Derby County in January.

Both players featured against Manchester United during the u23s’ final fixture in May and Mourgos will be hoping to secure his future elsewhere before the new campaign begins.
