Showing up on the radar of numerous European clubs in his breakout Ligue 1 season, Bordeaux star Malcom appears to be close to signing for Inter Milan, sources in Italy have claimed.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Brazilian has already agreed terms with the Nerazzurri – who have returned to Champions League football recently and already boast a wealth of South American talent in the likes of Mauro Icardi, Lautaro Martinez and Matias Vecino – whilst still having three years left to run on his deal with his current employers.

All that remains now is to hash out Bordeaux’s asking price, which Inter hope to be in the region of the €40mn they have set aside and are willing to pay for the Corinthians academy product, who is regarded as one of European club football’s hottest talents and a future Qatar 2022 star for the Brazilian national team since winning the 2015 Brazilian Série A under the tutelage of current Seleção coach Tite and claiming a runners-up medal at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in the same year.

During the January transfer window, when outfits such as Bayern Munich, Arsenal and PSG were also rumoured to have registered their interest in the 21-year-old and met with his representatives, Bordeaux was informed of its prodigy’s intentions to leave and will apparently be powerless to stop him if a proposal of €50mn is lodged this time around.
